Reflexology

All client testimonials and case studies have been gathered with full consent and cooperation from each client. A full consultation was carried out for each one although details have not necessarily been included here. Many thanks to all my clients who have contributed, I am grateful for your time and feedback.

Mr. W. Case History

For the purposes of the case study I will only highlight the things we felt showed in the feet and how relevant (or not) they were. The showing may have been tenderness, unusual or painful sensation felt by the client or a change in feel felt by the therapist.

Area Right Foot Relating to Relevance to client
Top of 2nd metatarsal Teeth Dental implants in last week
Base of 2nd and 3rd metatarsals Sinus ?
Base big toe Thyroid Awaiting blood tests regarding thyroid
Instep Kidney Been out this morning so not drank as much water as usual

Area Left Foot Relating to Relevance to client
Base of 2nd and 3rd metatarsals Eyes Wears glasses and recently had cataract operation
Base of 4th and 5th metatarsal Ear Wears hearing aids
Base big toe Thyroid Awaiting blood tests
Base of little toe Shoulder Broke collar bone skiing and still get pain in the shoulder area
Instep Kidney Less water than usual
Instep Large intestine Less water than usual

Most of the things that showed as positive reflexes had an explanation for Mr. W. The more years I have practised reflexology the more I find this to be the case that things are found that make sense on a health basis. This makes reflexology not only a relaxing and calming treatment but a good barometer of health and well being.

Reflexology was first documented by Eunice Ingham and although other charts exist I still refer to the original for marking positions.

Client feedback

"Found the treatment relaxing and informative. Very interested in how it is a reflection of health and can give pointers to improving well being. Pleasantly surprised at some of the indicators reflecting current health."
