
The Anatomy and Physiology unit is the foundation for all other complementary therapies. It is comprised of several units to cover all the systems of the body. The course covers the body structures and how things work as well as diseases and disorders allowing therapists to work safely and competently. A one-hour multiple-choice paper is taken comprising 50 questions testing knowledge on all aspects.
The Holistic Massage units prepare the therapist to treat clients to a relaxing and stress releasing massage. You will learn a full body treatment that you can adapt to client needs. Again this is a foundation to lead on to any of the other complementary therapies. Case studies will be completed at home at the learner's own pace. There will be a one-hour 50 question multiple-choice paper and a one-hour practical examination.
Professional Conduct and Business Awareness prepares the new therapist
for working in industry. It will cover legislation relating to good
practice, building customer relations and developing a business in the
field of complementary healthcare. A combined multiple-choice paper
will be taken with 25 questions on each subject to give a total of 50.

This can be taken separately as a stand-alone qualification.
Suitable for anyone in the health industry: nurses, complementary
therapists, yoga teachers, martial arts instructors, as a refresher or upgrade.
Structure will be as for the Diploma in Holistic Massage.

Candidates must already hold a bodywork qualification as well as
Anatomy and Physiology. The course will provide full tuition in the use
of thermal stones for relaxation and stress relief. This is becoming a
very popular treatment and has many uses in the salon or clinic.
One-day taster courses are also available before you progress to this
practitioner level. Case studies will be required and students will take
a 30-minute multiple-choice paper comprising 25 questions and also a
practical examination.

The ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Aromatherapy comprises of ITEC Unit 3 with a
pre-requisite of ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Holistic Massage or ITEC Level 3
Diploma in Body Treatments or equivalent. Candidates will learn to provide
treatments for the purposes of relaxation and stress release with massage
and essential oils.
You will study the theory of Aromatherapy treatments as well as the Chemistry of the Essential oils, Contraindications and safety data for each oil, and will also cover the underpinning knowledge and skills required to successfully perform an Aromatherapy massage treatment.
Assessment is with a multiple choice question paper and practical examination. Case studies are required to be completed for this award. The case studies form the internal assessment and will be assessed throughout the training by the tutor.

The Diploma comprises 3 units to include Anatomy & Physiology,
Reflexology and Professional Conduct and Business Awareness. The main
aim of the course is to enable candidates to provide treatments for the
purpose of relaxation and stress release by treating the Reflex areas.
Assessment is by the completion of case studies that form the internal assessment along with a multiple-choice paper and practical examination.

This course has a pre-requisite of the Body Massage and Anatomy and
Physiology. The course itself comprises three units to include theory,
practical and case studies.
The main aim of the ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage is to enable candidates to provide treatments for sports injuries and help improve athlete's performance through pre and post event massage. You will learn advanced massage techniques to enhance athletic performance and assist recovery form injury. The techniques can be used in a wide range of conditions which we will be studied as part of the course.
The candidate will study the theory of all treatments as well as additional anatomy in particular the origin and insertion of muscles. The underpinning knowledge and skills required to successfully perform a Sports Massage treatment are also required.
Case studies are required to be completed for this award as part of the internal assessment. A 50 question multiple-choice paper is taken along with a practical examination on completion of the course.

Course fees can be paid by cash or cheque. A 10% deposit will be taken to confirm your place and fees must be paid in full two weeks prior to the start of the course unless otherwise agreed with the principal. CPD and taster days must be paid in full when booking.
