Helping therapists thrive without stress or burn out.

Helen has been a trainer in industry since 1997 providing training for hotels, beauty salons, spas, hospices, FE and private colleges, and university. She is a graduate of Northumbria University having gained a Certificate in Education in 2003, and has lectured throughout the UK. Her experience over thirty years in the industry ensures care of the therapist themselves is always the focus of any mentoring, training or development work.

During 2023 and 2024 Helen has advised as a mentor for The Girls' Network, a national programme ensuring that a girl's background does not prevent her from setting and achieving goals. Her role within the Sports Massage Association saw her help to set up a Mentoring Programme for members.

Trained by the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs (IOEE) as a small business mentor, with over thirty years industry experience, Helen has proved a valuable mentor and professional supervisor to not only therapists, but to the wider business community as a business owner herself for almost 25 years. She would be happy to discuss your circumstances and look at ways of working together to help you realise your dream of creating the business you desire without stress and burn out.

Mentoring can help you gain focus and plan how to maximise your efforts to get where you want to be in this rewarding profession. An effective mentor can help you avoid mistakes and create the opportunities you are waiting for. Supervision is really valuable to help with planning, goal setting and helping you stay on track. Most professional industries offer regular supervision to employees for support, leadership and development. This is often missing for small or micro businesses which is why it is important to have it available elsewhere.

The challenges of working 'in and on' your business can be overwhelming, and professional help from one who understands the complexities of running a business can help you gain clarity and develop an effective action plan.
